Vintage Games

Our interpreters will be setting up vintage games in the house and in
the garden, weather permitting. Come and try your hand at crokinole,
checkers, hopscotch, stilts, marbles and more!


Sing Along Concert in the Garden at 2 pm

Join Marjorie Bodnarchuk in the lovely Marr Garden and sing along to
familiar tunes. The house will also be open for tours from 1-4 p.m.

All About Rhubarb

This Saturday prairie plant was a source of fruit for early settlers that would
grow quickly and survive the harsh climate. Learn some interesting rhubarb
facts and check out our rhubarb cookbooks and stepping stones.


History of Sandstone Block Pavers
August 9, 2026
Hours: 1:00 to 4:00 pm
The City of Saskatoon purchased rectangular blocks of sandstone in 1912 to
pave steeply sloping street approaches to the Traffic Bridge, providing more
secure footing for the horses used for transportation of people and goods.
Come and explore the documents from the Kettle River Company of
Minneapolis, Minnesota. Learn about the bidding process, contracts and
locations where the pavers were used. Two of the pavers will be on display.


Walking tour of Old Nutana

Hours: 1:00 to 4:00 pm
In conjunction with the Saskatoon Heritage Society and led by local
historian Dianne Wilson, come walking and see the houses of Old Nutana.
Learn some of the history of the original neighbourhood that was to become
the City of Saskatoon. The house will also be open during the afternoon.


Signing of Treaty 6
August 23, 2026
Hours: 1:00 to 4:00 pm
150th Anniversary of the signing of Treaty 6 which was completed at Fort
Carlton and Fort Pitt in summer 1876 between the Canadian Government
and various Indigenous nations. Learn more about this historic event.
